Statement regarding April 2019 GPS Week Number Rollover Event

Recently, we have received several inquiries about how our products, specifically our Satellite-Controlled Clocks, will be affected by the GPS week number rollover event that will occur on 6 April 2019. To establish context: this event is occurring due to the end of the current GPS Time Epoch. GPS Time uses 10 bits to count GPS Week Numbers, and can only cover a finite period of 1024 weeks (19.7 year epoch), with the first GPS Time Epoch ending on 21/22 August 1999.
We would like to assure our customers that there should be no impact on any of our Satellite-Controlled clocks (GPS or GNSS). All of our legacy clock models transitioned through the aforementioned August 1999 GPS week number rollover event without incident, and our extensive GPS simulator testing has shown that the April 2019 GPS week number rollover event will proceed in the same manner. Furthermore, clock firmware does not need to be up-to-date for this to be valid; previous firmware versions should not be impacted.
